A short, but select field will kick off this Saturday card with a half-dozen well-bred and pricey juveniles sprinting six furlongs. St. Elias Stable and Repole Stable partnered to snag WIN WITH PRIDE (Distorted Humor) for $450,000 as a Keeneland September yearling and the dark bay colt will debut for Todd Pletcher with a smart worktab showing. Win With Pride is the first foal out of this barn's MGISW Love and Pride (A.P. Indy). His second dam is Ile de France (Storm Cat), a GISP half-sister to 2006's champion 3-year-old Bernardini (A.P. Indy), and third dam Cara Rafaela (Quiet American) was also a GISW. Pegged as the narrow second choice on the morning line, Win With Pride totes a quartet of five-furlong breezes, most recently covering the distance in 1:00 4/5 (7/34) here Sept. 17. Given the slight morning line nod is Big Handsome (Street Boss), a $250,000 Fasig-Tipton October graduate who has worked three consecutive bullets for Team D and Tony Dutrow, most recently putting in a three-panel tightener over the local training track in :36 flat. The bay's dam is a half to GSW Kiss Moon (Malibu Moon) and is out of another GSW in Kiss the Devil (Kris S.). Chester and Mary Broman went to $555,000 to secureUnforeseeable (Unbridled's Song), a gray half-sister to GISP Mylute (Midnight Lute) and SW/GSP Stageplay (Curlin). The Jimmy Jerkens charge compiled a steady, but slow series of works before perking up in a 1:01 flat five-eighths (11/34) spin here Sept. 17. TJCIS PPs@JBiancaTDN
